The ZenQuest Martial Arts Center provides the best in traditional and contemporary martial arts for all ages. This includes Demian Maia Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Okinawan Uechi-Ryu Karate, Sityodtong Muay Thai Kickboxing, Hybrid Self-Defense, Boxing, Wrestling, Mixed Martial Arts and Ryukyu Kobudo or Classical Okinawan Weapons. We offer classes seven days per week and are located in the town of Lenox, in the heart of the Berkshires of western Massachusetts. We are the oldest martial arts school in the area, originally founded as the Okinawan Karate School in 1972.

Name: Mark Flynn
Belt: Black Belt
Bio: Mark Flynn is a Black belt in Demian Maia Jiu-Jitsu, studying BJJ since March of 1998. Mark has trained with such greats as Rodrigo Gracie, Rolker Gracie, Rodrigo Mederos, Royler Gracie, Rorion Gracie, Carlos Elias, and Royce Gracie. He has a diverse background in the martial arts, originally starting in 1982. He also has a 7th degree Black Belt in Uechi-Ryu Karate, and Certification in Sityodtong Muay Thai Kickboxing. Mark has additional experience in Boxing, MMA, Judo, a variety of Kung Fu styles, and Asian weaponry. Mark has competed in sparring and forms at the World Karate Championships in Okinawa, Japan. Mark is also proud to coach a successful competition team.

Belt: Brown Belt
Bio: Connie Flynn is a Brown belt in Demian Maia Jiu-Jitsu, studying BJJ since March of 1998. Connie has trained with such greats as Rodrigo Gracie, Rolker Gracie, Rodrigo Mederos, Rorion Gracie, Carlos Elias, and Royce Gracie. She has a diverse background in the martial arts, originally starting in 1992. She also has a 6th degree Black Belt in Uechi-Ryu Karate, and Certification in Sityodtong Muay Thai Kickboxing. Connie has additional experience in Boxing, MMA, Yoga, Judo, Sports-fitness Training, and Asian weaponry...and has an MS in Education. Connie placed 3rd in women's forms at the World Karate Championships in Okinawa, Japan in 2007. Connie is also proud to coach a successful competition team.
